What is ABTA protection?
ABTA (The Association of British Travel Agents) is specifically designed to cover holidays bought in the UK that don’t include flights. ABTA protects you if either we or the cruise line you have booked with go out of business.
Booking can't go ahead?
If you've not yet started your trip, you'll get your money back or where possible ABTA will make arrangements for you to continue with the planned trip.
Who has ABTA helped in the past?
ABTA has supported holidaymakers for 75 years inclduing handling more than 1,400 customer claims following the failure of the original Thomas Cook in 2019.
Minimise the disruption to your holiday
If you are already on holiday you will be able to continue as originally planned. ABTA will make sure you are never stranded abroad.

Is Seascanner ABTA Protected?
We are a member of ABTA with membership number 78024. We follow ABTA’s Code of Conduct to provide a high standard of service to you.
What is ATOL protection?
ATOL (Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing) provides financial protection when you book a package trip that includes a flight. When you purchase an ATOL-protected flight or flight-inclusive cruise holiday from us, you will receive an ATOL Certificate.

We will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative if needed).
How many people has ATOL protected?
As of 2023, ATOL has repatriated around 242,000 holidaymakers and has settled more than 1.7 million claims for consumers who had bookings for travel at a later date since 2000 alone.

You can continue with your holiday and we will make sure you are never stranded abroad.
Assisting you to stay in your holiday accommodation
We will do what we can to ensure your holiday goes to plan.
Peace of mind
With ATOL you will be reimbursed for any money you may have spent to replace ATOL protected parts of your trip, e.g. accommodation, car hire, transfers.

If Seascanner goes out of business your money is financially protected and you wont get stranded abroad.
